Time-resolved characterization of diesel particulate emissions. 2. Instruments for elemental and organic carbon measurements
Article Abstract:
Testing of methods used to measure diesel particulate emissions in an effort to develop real-time measurement using existing technology. Experiments revealed that adding a nephelomoter tot he measurement process had potential for increasing speed of resolution, less interference, and greater sensitivity. The article includes supporting statistical data, charts and graphs.

Development and validation of the new EPA microwave-assisted leach method 3051A
Article Abstract:
A study traced the development and testing of the Environmental Protection Agency's new metal leaching Method 3051A involving microwave assistance. The method was validated by the leaching and evaluation of standard reference materials. Development of the method included improvements upon Method 3051 allowing it to reproduce results more easily and microwave innovations.
