Toward ideal (trans) esterification by use of fluorous distannoxane catalysts
Article Abstract:
Fluorous distannoxanes exhibit high preference for flurorous solvents over common organic solvents. The hydrophobic nature of distannoxane plays an important role in the condensation between carboxylic acids and alcohols, especially in macrolactonization of omega- hydroxy carboxylic acids.
