Transformation of TNT by aquatic plants and plant tissue cultures
Article Abstract:
Recent studies show that two plant systems have the ability to uptake and metabolize trinitrotoluene (TNT) rapidly without accumulating aminonitrotoluenes or azoxy dimers. The results of the studies provide a phytoremediation potential that could be used in less costly remediation of TNT contaminated soils.
