A promising medical technology is being developed that makes use of encapsulated cells. The cells could be of help with diseases that stem from the lack of a specific chemical in the body. Such diseases would include Parkinson's disease, diabetes and hemophilia.

Ryobi North America Inc had developed a four-cycle engine that produces low emissions and weighs only eight pounds. The light weight will permit the engine to be used in hand-held equipment. Development of the engine and its possible uses are discussed.
