Article Abstract:
Many AIDS researchers believe that the AIDS treatment called convergent combination therapy may not be as safe or effective as anticipated. The treatment, developed by Yung-Kang Chow, uses zidovudine (AZT), dideoxyinosine (ddI) and either pyridinone or nevirapine to stop replication of HIV.

The effects of at least three genetic disorders are amplified because parts of the genes mutate from one generation to the next. Fragile X syndrome, myotonic dystrophy and spinal and bulbar muscular dystrophy demonstrate the genetic progression.

Scientist John R. Watterson has discovered evidence that gold particles found in Alaskan streams were formed by bacteria of the genus Pedomicrobium. The bacteria are believed to accrete a thin film of pure gold that surrounds them like skin.
