Taxes: no major change in sight
Article Abstract:
An analysis of the history of tax changes reveals that few changes will likely be incorporated to basic tax law. Approval of the tax changes that resulted from the Tax Reform Act of 1986 was unusual because of the scope of changes. Analysts believe that the only changes that will occur will not affect the basic tax laws.

The myths of the American political geography, which is divided into red (Republican-won) and blue (Democratic-won) states, are discussed. Economists have found no signs of cultural wars, because the US is remarkable for its geographic diversity of habits and beliefs.
