Volitilization of chemicals from tap water to indoor air from contaminated water used for showering
Article Abstract:
Contaminated tap water is dangerous not just from drinking but from exposure to toxic volatile organic compounds (VOC) while showering. A series of mass transfer experiments were conducted while a shower in an enclosed chamber was operated. The study provided information of human inhalation exposure to toxic chemicals that volatilize from water to indoor air.
