Physiologist Alberto E Minetti' laboratory in Milan, Italy has a motion analyzer that utilizes infrared cameras for monitoring three-dimensional positions of 18 reflective markers places on the subject's joints of interest. Through this equipment, patterns of human locomotion are studied.
