Water-quality regs: staying ahead
Article Abstract:
The new regulations on water management resulting from the Safety Drinking Water Act amendments of 1986 introduce new challenges to the water utilities to provide high-quality drinking water to all their customers. Although these challenges make it difficult for water utilities to maintain their reliability they can achieve this by using right approaches to the problems. The ten basic challenges faced by water utilities are described along with seven measures to maintain high-quality water supply.
