What hypersonic airplane?

Observers in the western US and in the UK have reported an extremely fast aircraft in those areas. No one has been able to photograph the aircraft, but exhaust contrails have been photographed and sonic booms recorded. The craft may be a high-altitude US Air Force spy plane.
