Structural constraints on process explanations in cognitive aging
Article Abstract:
Age-related effects on cognitive variables are best interpreted with regard to structural interrelations existing among variables and relations of age. Two sets of data indicate that large proportions of the age-related effects over a broad range of cognitive variables are shared.

Attempted decomposition of age-related influences on two tests of reasoning
Article Abstract:
The results of two studies are presented, which set out to illustrate which of several proposed components were mainly responsible for the age-related effects of matrix and analytical reasoning. The results suggested that significant proportions of age-related effects on various cognitive variables are shared.
