A stochastic logistic innovation diffusion model studying the electricity consumption in Greece and the United States

Article Abstract:

A stochastic innovation diffusion model derived from the original logistic growth model is suggested. Although it is assumed that the future remaining growth of the underlying process is not known with certainty, it is modeled by utilizing the required stochastic process. The stochastic model is solved analytically by applying the theory of reducible stochastic differential equations. The model is then employed to analyze the data of electricity consumption in Greece and the US.

The gas turbine: a new technological paradigm in electricity generation

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to examine technological changes associated with the gas turbine in generating electricity using the paradigm concept. Limitations and concerns associated with the paradigm concept were analyzed to promote a better understanding of technological change in the industry. Results indicated that the history of the gas turbine supports the establishment of new technological advances which can be utilized as a solution to various technological problems.
