An empirical investigation of interviewer-related factors that discourage the use of high structure interviews
Article Abstract:
Although high structure interviews are extremely dependable and valid, they seem to be used infrequently in personnel management practise. Two studies are carried out among professional human resources representatives who regularly conduct employment interviews to find out the cause for lack of structure, and suggestions for developing interviewer motivation to employ higher levels of structure in interviews are discussed.
