Can creative destruction be destroyed? Military IR&D and destruction along the value-added chain
Article Abstract:
Supply chain innovation matrixes that can be applied to both commercial and military supply chains are presented in outlining the trade between efficiency and competition in military industrial research and development (IR&D). The findings indicate that when the public policy restrains inter-service rivalry the officerEs corps may gain absolute market power along the value-added chain and only prevent competence destroying innovations from diffusing.

Innovation, regional knowledge spillovers and R&D cooperation
Article Abstract:
The impact of knowledge spillovers and R&D cooperation activities for knowledge spillovers in three German regions is investigated by estimating the knowledge-production function to test for interregional differences and contribution of R&D efforts to explain these differences. Results show that R&D cooperation is only of relative minor importance as a medium for knowledge spillover.
