Conference focuses on sustaining troop support at home
Article Abstract:
Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Commander-in-Chief Jim Mueller stressed the importance of stronger home-front morale-boosting activities for the sake of those serving overseas at the VFW's annual conference held in March 2006. GIs are teaching Iraqis to be effective against Al Qaeda and insurgents, to be guardians of their own people, and do serve the needs and concerns of those they protect.

MAP unveils new initiative
Article Abstract:
VFW's Military Assistance Program that aims at meeting the needs of active-duty, National Guard and Reserve troops and their families, restructures with a National MAP committee to enhance program's current structure. A table of list of members of National MAP Committee, and list MAP's initiatives and existing efforts, list of Key National committee duties is also presented.

Anti-military sentiments persist on elite campus
Article Abstract:
The students of the elite colleges protested in front of the chancellor's office demanding to kick out the military off the campus. Inspite of knowing the fact that most of the military officers are professionals, the anti-military sentiment persisted on these campus.
