Efficacy beliefs and work stress: an exploratory study
Article Abstract:
A study to explore the relationship of self and collective efficacy with job stress was conducted on 154 male and female non-faculty employees of two universities in the US. Results indicate that collective efficacy moderates job stress in that belief in the effectiveness of a department moderates the anxiety and low job satisfaction of having to work long hours. Individual efficacy does not moderate the effects.
