Energy technologies: systemic aspects, technological trajectories, and institutional frameworks
Article Abstract:
Technological change in the energy sector is analyzed over the last 30 years to illustrate the relationship between technology development/adoption and social/economic issues. Deviation from oil or hydrocarbons is sluggish due to the unexpected technological innovations that enhanced the existing energy source. The other factor is the pressure to develop technological innovations that are not hazardous. Such a situation inhibits other energy sources and environmental risks but encourages multiple forms of the energy source hence resulting to technology pluralism.

World population growth and the role of annual energy use per capita
Article Abstract:
Attainment of a decent standard of living for everyone amidst high population rate remains possible when coupling of annual energy use per capita and population growth rate was considered. Consideration of such an approach showed that the availability of easily movable, cheap fuels would be vital in enabling developing nations attain a state characterized by the existence of a stable population and a decent standard of living. It was also shown that a fall in population growth rate results to a rise in annual energy use per capita.
