SIECUS is the common ground on comprehensive sexuality education
Article Abstract:
The standpoint of Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS) on comprehensive sexuality education for children in the public schools is the common ground for the perspectives of proponents and opponents. While 8 out of 10 parents want sexuality education to provide information to their children to protect themselves from sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancies, the opponents have questioned the concept in terms of morality, family and gender, and opposed it in schools. SIECUS seeks to help people realize its importance in building a responsible society.
