Article Abstract:
'Technological Forecasting and Social Change,' first published in Jun 1969, is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 1999. Up until 1998, a total of 59 volumes of the journal have been published containing contributions by almost 2,000 authors from 50 nations around the world. Of the articles that have appeared during that period, 64% have been from North America, 21% from Europe and 10% from Asia. The readership of the journal is expected to move towards further globalization in the coming years.

As information technology was built on the foundation of the industrial era, molecular technology is built on the information technology era. Molecular technology is adopting many concepts from biological evolution.
