The welfare impacts of alternative policies to address atmospheric pollution in urban road transport
Article Abstract:
In projecting inefficiences in urban transportation through the year 2005, this study finds that welfare gains are available through reducing congestion and unpaid parking. Cost of air pollution is also significant, and emmissions and fuel efficiency regulation show no benefit.
