Article Abstract:
The future as a temporal locus for knowing is introduced, which distinguishes the told stories of narrative theory from the lived stories that shape human experience. It is stated that a knowing open to the emerging, unknown future can be an invaluable resource for shaping organizational change, responding to rapidly changing environment, integrating personal with organizational concerns and explores the end that the organization serves.

Unfreezing the future: Exploring the dynamic of time in organizational change
Article Abstract:
The classical organizational change theory in terms of its underlying temporal assumptions along with its epistemological stance toward effecting change in time is reviewed. It is stated that knowing the future directly through deep improvisation bypasses sense making in favor of cultivating presence and acting in real time.

Coping with the stress of transformational change in a government department
Article Abstract:
An open-ended interview methodology was used to explore why transformational organizational change can be stressful and how individuals employ coping responses to deal with it. A model is proposed to account for the process of coping with organizational change stressors that is offered for quantitative validation.
