Why is it so difficult to do anything?
Article Abstract:
Few steps are ever made to alleviate the difficult situation existing in communities despite a widespread awareness of the social decay. This lack of effective action results from the large number of participants to every issue that faces an extremely complex world. Changes must, therefore, go through a series of disturbances before it is accepted. In addition, difficulty of determining the necessary steps to change the complex situations and the abstract nature of the future also inhibit effective action. The lack of synchrony between scientific knowledge and politics also presents problems.

Law and technology in the twenty-first century
Article Abstract:
The emergence of new technologies will be influential in shaping and changing the future society and judicial system. Information technologies have already raised legal problems such as intellectual property and privacy. Laws that would define the limits and legalities of genetic experiments and related life sciences are also necessary to prevent future complications. Regulatory laws on energy should also be modified to accommodate alternative power resources. The discovery and development of new commercial products will change the existing environmental laws.

Business and privacy in the early 21st century
Article Abstract:
The advancement of communications and information technology and its easy adoption by the American public has become an avenue for businesses to market their goods to consumers. This ease of marketing has opened new debates on the rights to privacy of citizens and the rights of businesses to conduct their marketing activities. One of the possible solutions to the dilemma is the new interpretation on the rights of individuals to personal information, which would govern any technology that may infringe on an individual's privacy.
