A review of the latest nutritional research on fats is presented. Most experts still feel margarine is healthier than butter and fish oil can help prevent heart disease. Chocolate contains a type of fat called steric acid that does not raise cholesterol. Eggs, oils and cheeses are also discussed.

Vitamin E has been promoted as preventing cancer and heart disease. The evidence of its cancer benefit is inconclusive. Research indicates vitamin E is effective in preventing heart disease, but the daily dose must be above 100 IU.
