Physiological determinants of climbing-specific finger endurance and sport rock climbing performance
Article Abstract:
Several physiological responses to a climbing-specific task to identify adaptations of trained climbers and determinants of endurance performance in sport rock climbing are studied. Results reveal that finger endurance is higher for the climbers in the intermittent endurance test and muscle re-oxygenation during rest phases is a predictor of endurance performance.
