Article Abstract:
Experiences of cruising the eastern end of Long Island Sound are presented. There are many harbours and anchorages along the 550 miles of shoreline on the south side of Connecticut and the north side of Long Island. Attractive destinations include Charles Island and Hamburg Cove.

A voyage interrupted
Article Abstract:
A cruiser and his family were on a voyage to Bermuda in 1969, which remained incomplete due to bad weather conditions in the Gulf Stream. They again resumed their voyage to Bermuda on June 22, 2004, in which they successfully reached their destination.

A description is presented of cruising through the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal in Maryland. The history of the canal, which was opened in 1829 by Augustin Herrmann, is discussed.
