Activation of Akt as a potential mediator of adaptations that reduce muscle injury
Article Abstract:
Study was conducted to determine whether activation of Akt or p70S6K is necessary to induce protective adaptations. It is concluded that activation of neither Akt nor p70S6K is necessary to induce adaptations that reduce the severity of contraction-induced injury.

Effect of mild dehydration on the lactate threshold in women
Article Abstract:
Research findings show that a shift in the lactate threshold occurs due to mild dehydration and is mediated by elevated epinephrine concentration. Data also suggest that the shift shortens the exhaustion time during dehydration.
