Active-isolated stretching
Article Abstract:
Active-isolated stretching is prescribed for bikers to reduce the risk of injuries during the ride. This method involves contracting the muscle groups opposite the muscle to be isolated and stretching the msucle for 1-2 seconds. A rope can also be used to stretch the rear thigh muscles.

Cycling doesn't develop the strength that cyclists need to improve their speed and endurance. Cyclists can develop leg strength by performing leg presses and low-cadence training which involves climbing short, steep hills using a big gear and pedalling at a low cadence.
