Article Abstract:
Research reveals that concurrent treatment of cardiovascular training and resistance training is similarly effective in eliciting improvements in cardiovascular fitness and 5RM strength tests as when they are individually administered.

High-resistance versus variable-resistance training in older adults
Article Abstract:
Research demonstrates benefits of the resistance training for older adults in that it increases muscle mass and strength, enabling them to perform daily activity tasks with ease. Data also suggest that variable resistance training is better than high resistance training.

Adiponectin responses to continuous and progressively intense intermittent exercise
Article Abstract:
Research reveals that production and release of adiponectin is neither stimulated nor increased by a 30 minute of heavy continuous running or more strenuous intermittent running. Data indicate that observed small increases in adiponectin levels are due to plasma volume shifts.
