Article Abstract:
Some of the advantages to using aluminum in the construction of bicycle frames are its rigidity, light weight and low costs. Some disadvantages are the look of its fat tubes and excessive road vibration. An aluminum frame designed by Klein Bicycle Corp is evaluated.

Team Bicycling's contingent of four over-50-year-old men finished the Race Across America in five hours and 17 minutes. The four, who were supported by 16 crew members and a budget of $80,000, were Peter Penseyres, Ed Pavelka, Fred Matheny and Skip Hamilton.
