Chest pain can be symptomatic of a number of health problems, including myocardial ischemia or infarction, pulmonary embolism, gastrointestinal disorders, pleural pain or hyperventilation. Treatment will be determined by the initial diagnosis, such as aspirin for angina or heart attack .
