America's next cruiser?

Burnsville, MN-based Excelsior-Henderson Motorcycle Manufacturing Div. is developing its 1997 Super X, 1385-cc cruiser. The new motorcycle will feature Excelsior's 50-degree vertical-twin engine. However, the motorcycle's designers, Dan and Dave Hanlon, have yet to finalize the other features of the new cruiser.

Porsche AG is rumored to be developing a motorcycle design which could enter the market by 1996 or 1997. The motorcycle is expected to feature computer-controlled suspension and will be powered by 140-hp, fuel-injected, 20-valve, 1200cc inline-Four engine.
