An adult physical activity scoring scheme: Its evaluation and application
Article Abstract:
The development and evaluation of the interactive physical activity assessment tool (IPAT), a physical activity (PA) scoring scheme designed to assess PA status in terms of recommended intensity, duration, and frequency of performance based on the physical activity level (PAL) score indicator are described. The evaluation used BRFSS 2000 (secondary) data to score physical activity information using IPAT scoring cut-points.

Is the relationship of RPE to psychological factors intensity-dependent?
Article Abstract:
The correlations of ratings of perceived exertion (RPE) with both dispositional and situational psychological variables across three exercise intensities were examined. Results provide partial support to the hypothesis that the relationship of depositional and situational psychological factors to RPE changes semantically, becoming weaker at higher exercise intensities.
