Promoting physical activity in independent living communities
Article Abstract:
A brief cognitive-behavioral feedback intervention was evaluated to mobilize older adults in independent living environments to attend introductory physical activity programs. The findings support the efficacy of a brief intervention to generate interest and more effective and feasible ones are needed to make engaging environments including individualized feedback emphasizing on physical activity in independent living.

Relationship between physical activity and body mass index in adolescents
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to examine the association between physical activity and body mass index among females aged 14-17 years. Results indicated that adolescent females in schools are at risk for inactivity at certain times of the day and schools in partnership with their communities assume a major role to promote participation in physical activity among adolescents through innovative activity programs in schools.
