Aquatic plyometric training increases vertical jump in female volleyball players
Article Abstract:
The effects of combined aquatic plyometric training (APT) and traditional preseason volleyball training on muscular strength and vertical jump (VJ) in female volleyball players were examined as compared with a control group performing a combination of flexibility exercises and volleyball training (CON). Results show the combination of APT and volleyball training resulted in larger improvements in VJ than in the CON group, indicating that APT could be a promising training option.
