At play in the snowfields of Patagonia

Bariloche, Patagonia, is Argentina's premier ski region. Located in the Andes, it is a series of lakes surrounded by high peaks. 3,400-foot Gran Catedral provides some of the better skiing. At its base is a resort of the same name, more reminiscent of Austria than Argentina.

Squaw Valley
Article Abstract:
An overview is provided of the 4,000-acre Squaw Valley ski area in northern California. The area is owned and developed by Ski Corp., which has installed a total of 33 lifts, including Granite Chief, Silverado, Olympic Lady, Cornice II, Headwall, and KT-22.

Alpine Meadows is one of the best places to ski. The ski resort offers good quality, a good character, spring skiing, blue skies and scenic views. The resort is about a 45-minute drive from Reno, NV.
