Bone bargain: an affordable brittle-bone test?
Article Abstract:
Brittle-bone tests were expensive, from $150-$300 and a patient had to be near a facility which did the testing for bone mass density (BMD). A method developed in France offers a less costly solution. Ultrasound scans costing $5-$10, are made of the heel bone which is close to the surface.

Tune up the heat: can radio waves zap nagging whiplash pain?
Article Abstract:
In a technique called radio-frequency neurotomy, needles in the neck are used to conduct radiowaves to the seat of whiplash pain. The waves heat and disarm the nerves sending the pain signals. Of the patients tested, five reported some numbness at the site, which was not a problem to them.
