A grizzly bear hunting experience in the Alaskan mountains is presented. A dangerous encounter with a grizzly bear is described. Details of the ways in which the two participating hunters cope with their poor health and the hostile weather conditions following the encounter are presented.

Biggest black bear ever
Article Abstract:
Ken LeBoeuf killed a large black bear in Alaska in 1986, but was unable to retrieve the carcass because a brown bear had begun to prey on it. He recovered the bear's skull in 1987 and evaluation of the skull by Boone and Crockett Club officials gave it the record for largest size.
