Brick bike: Is this mystery machine the original American Flyer?
Article Abstract:
Details of a mystery bike called Traub, which was originally found bricked up in the wall of a Chicago-area residence in 1967, is described. The Traub, which was far more refined than any of its contemporaries, has a Bosch magneto, Schebler carburetor, Troxel Jumbo seat, 80 cubic-inch V-Twin featuring sidevalves, a three-speed transmission and a unique dual-action rear brake.
