Bridging your reins

Several guidelines by experts for using the reins smoothly and quickly in a way that makes sense to horse and preserves the responsiveness of his mouth and promotes his peace of mind and encourages him to move freely are presented. Some of the guidelines include choking the reins, opening the left hand and dropping the excess loop of rein, picking up the rein and a piece of the loop, and reducing the size of the loop in the process.
