Mary Slaney, formerly Mary Decker, has returned to racing despite her age and health problems. The former Olympic runner's career faded after the 1980s, but after being diagnosed and treated for exercise induced asthma, she is now running again. She also has an 11-yr-old daughter.

The trail less traveled
Article Abstract:
Many runners like to run on trails. Off road running is an excellent recreational activity that connects the runner to nature. The runner can find additional challenge and rewards off road. However, there are risks associated with trail running and caution is advised.
