Clueless about beta-carotene?
Article Abstract:
Recent research indicates that beta carotene offers no discernable health benefits to nonsmokers taking 20 to 30 milligrams a day, but such high doses do seem to increase the risk of cancer in smokers and former smokers. Additional information about beta carotene supplements is provided.
