Coagulation and fibrinolytic responses to manual versus automated snow removal
Article Abstract:
Results indicate that although self-paced snow shoveling leads to a positive fibrinolytic response in young, healthy males, it does not increase von Willebrand Factor antigen. Data further suggest that snow shoveling increases fibrinolytic potential in this sample but not to the same extent observed after a snowmaximal treadmill exercise.
