Comparison of two approaches to structured physical activity surveys for adolescents
Article Abstract:
The experiment on the comparison of two approaches to structured physical activity surveys for adolescents is conducted to compare the test-related reliability, convergent validity, and overall feasibility or usability of activity-based (AB) and time-based (TB) approaches. A survey conducted on both the genders overestimated activity levels thus supplementing self-reports with objective data.

Age-related decline in physical activity: generalization to nonhumans
Article Abstract:
This article examines current gerontological studies that use nonhuman subjects to investigate biological causes for declines in physical activity associated with aging. Age-related reductions in activity have been observed across many species, are predictive of lifespan, and are associated with changes in dopamine function.

Age-related decline in physical activity: a synthesis of human and animal studies
Article Abstract:
This article provides an overview of current research on physical activity declines associated with aging in animal and human populations. The greatest physical activity decline in humans takes place during adolescence and is linked to changes in dopamine activity which regulates locomotion motivation.
