Devigne inspiration
Article Abstract:
Being deaf since birth has not prevented Nathalie Devigne from developing into a world-class swimmer. The Paris, France, native won golds for the 400 and 800 freestyle relays, ranked third in the 400 free, fourth in the 800 free and fourth in the 400 individual medley at the 1997 World Games for the Deaf, which saw 2,000 athletes in competition. Devigne also established records at Gallaudet University for 200, 500, and 1650 yards.
