Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) can sometimes heal symptoms that traditional Western medicine has a difficult with. TCM tries to treat the whole person, not just the symptoms of the disease. A person, however, cannot administer TCM themselves, but need to consult a practitioner of TCM. TCM should not be seen as replacement for Western medicine, but as an adjunct.

Five Herbs That Ease Menopause
Article Abstract:
There are well-tested medicinal herbs that can help alleviate hot flashed during menopause. Black cohosh, about 40 mg per day, seems to work well. Soy protein, about 30 to 50 mg a day, also seems to reduce hot flashed. A few other herbal remedies are mentioned. Side effects are detailed.

Can herbs fight cancer?

Researchers are finding promising evidence that herbs can help prevent cancer and may be effective in a combined approach to cancer treatment. Herbs are being used to treat the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation and may reduce the emotional symptoms that interfere with recovery.
