Easy hub overhaul

Cyclists who ride during the cold and wet winter months should overhaul the hubs of their bikes since wetness can cause the deterioration of bike parts. Some of the required tools needed are cone wrenches, chainwhip and screwdrivers. The seven steps in overhauling a bike hub are described and illustrated.

Overhauling a threaded headset
Article Abstract:
A way for maintaining the threaded headset on a bicycle is described. The instructions include removing the headset, cleaning small parts, replacing bearings, checking adjustments and replacing the brake system on the bike.

Cyclists should overhaul their headsets at least once year. The steps in overhauling include disconnecting the cantilevers, placing masking tape around the stem and pulling the handlebar/stem from the frame.
