Fibroblast responses to variation in soft tissue mobilization pressure
Article Abstract:
Hard pressure during massage or augmented soft tissue mobilization may promote healing of the Achilles tendon. It is suggested that the amount of pressure applied relates to the number of fibroblasts. Researchers identified the highest number of fibroblasts in the group of rats treated with hard pressure massage versus rats treated with moderate pressure, light pressure, or no pressure. Improved fibroblast responses may also help in cumulative physical traumas, such as tennis elbow.

Endurance sports after total knee replacement: a biomechanical investigation
Article Abstract:
Endurance sports following a total knee replacement have been investigated from a biomechanical perspective. It was found that those who have had such replacements should alternate activities such as cycling and power walking. Patients should avoid downhill hiking or at least use ski poles. Jogging or running activities should be avoided after total knee replacement
