Article Abstract:
All-women road races are an answer to the male's inherent physical advantages in running. The few men who seek to enter all-women races under the auspices of sex discrimination are missing the point for why such races exist. Men are able to run at any level of competition while women cannot.

Competition has historically been tougher in men's running than women's running, primarily because there are more elite male runners. The 'toughness gap' is closing, however, as more Asian and African women enter competition.

Million-dollar mania
Article Abstract:
Million-dollar running races, such as the match between Donovan Bailey and Michael Johnson, are made-for-TV stunts that do not promote running. Giving smaller prizes to more runners would be more beneficial to the sport.
