The environmental groups Sierra Club and Glen Canyon Institute are battling with the Friends of Lake Powell over the fate of Lake Powell in Utah and Arizona. The environmental groups want to drain the lake to protect the Glen Canyon Dam while the Friends of Lake Powell want to preserve the lake.
