The American Discovery Trail scouting team did not set out to do hiking and camping gear evaluations, but they had ample opportunity to test gear during the 4,820-mile hike. Their observations on footwear, packs, tents, sleeping bags, stoves, apparel, maps and bikes are given, along with a list of resources.
